Victorian Climate Change Green Paper
The Victorian Government has recently released a Climate Change Green Paper outlining the next phase in response to climate change. You may view the Green Paper here
The Green Paper features statements about the impact of the Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme, and also proposes ways Victorians can reduce greenhouse gas emissions, adapt to the impacts of climate change and become a leading low carbon economy.
Premier John Brumby states “We have been a national leader on climate change, but much more needs to be done”. The Government is asking for your feedback from individuals and organisations - how to have your say.
This again reinforces the need for a sophisticated reporting platform, such as Prima’s Sustainability sCO2recard for organisations proactively optimise the performance of their business as well as monitor emission and implement their reduction strategies.
